PHILOSOPHY - AIM -
OBJECTIVES
PHILOSOPHY. . . Antioch Christian
Academy is established and operated in obedience to God's command to
"nurture your children in the ways of the Lord." God instituted the
church and family and gave us the responsibility for instruction so that His
promise of redemption would be passed throughout the generations.
AIM. . . Our educational aim is to
place God first in the child's life. The whole child is educated to be
Christian in all the God-created aspects of his/her life; spiritual, mental,
physical, and social/emotional. As a child learns each must come to
know, to enjoy, and to serve God according to his/her God-given abilities.
Christian education is for the Christian life. This is Christ-centered
education.
OBJECTIVES. . .We are dedicated to
upholding the following objectives:
 |
To
confront each child with his/her need to recognize the Lordship of Christ
in a personal way and the need to live a Christ-like life. |
 |
To establish a set of moral values by which
the child will be able to filter the experiences that confront him in
later life and help him make his faith usable. |
 |
To train the child in the formal knowledge of
God's Word, and responsibility to God's world. |
 |
To develop in each child the highest possible
degree of proficiency in all branches of learning and skill of
communication, with every phase thoroughly Christ-centered. |
 |
To develop a truly Christian personality
through counseling, curriculum, and extra-curricular. |
 |
To establish, by direction and example, the
ability to be self-disciplined. |
 |
To develop a love for learning. |
 |
To encourage in each child a Christian
cooperation with other pupils; to promote Christian standards of
fellowship, recreation, and sportsmanship, and to develop Christian
respect for authority. |
