(A Plan for Salvation--the logical steps from God's Word,
the Bible, that all must take to be saved)
Step
1. Realize you
have sinned. “For all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23
There
is punishment for your sin. “For the wages of sin is death.”
Romans 6:23
Step 2. You cannot save
yourself. “For by grace are
ye saved through faith; and that not of yourself: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
Step 3. God has provided
salvation for all who believe in the finished work of Christ on the cross.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.” John 3:16
Step
4.
Repent of your sin. “Except
ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
Luke 13:3
Repentance
is a change of mind which results in a change of action.
Step
5. Confess your sins to
God. “If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.” 1
John 1:9
Step
6. Receive Christ into
your heart by faith. “But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God.” John 1:12
Step
7. Proclaim Jesus as
Lord. “That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
